Bluestem Fiber Rebrands to Bluestem Network
New Name Reflects Company’s Expanded IT Service Offerings
LINCOLN, Neb. — June 18, 2018 — Bluestem Fiber has rebranded to Bluestem Network to reflect its expanded managed and cloud IT service offerings for businesses in southeast Nebraska.
The new business services include 24-hour malware and virus monitoring and protection, access to cloud applications and remote access to data, files and business applications.
“Our mission has always been to provide connectivity to the communities that need it,” founder Greg Dynek said. “We see these additional services as another way to serve communities by providing businesses the cloud and managed IT services they need to continue to grow.”
Founded by Dynek and Aaron Whyrick in June 2015, Bluestem added IT services to its offerings following a merger with Firespring’s managed IT business in April 2017.
Bluestem Network is currently providing high-speed fiber in parts of Seward and Lincoln and is in the beginning stages of bringing fiber to Milford.
Because fiber optic lines use plastic or glass rather than copper wires, fiber provides faster and more reliable internet access than cable or DSL internet services.
